So, we had to "close up shop". I'll just leave it at that. :)
I was really excited to start this adventure with Tanis and Heather.
But, we're still on an adventure, right? Everything's an adventure,
and we can learn from all of it.
I'm considering still selling my own digital images here on this blog.
I want to give it a moment for the dust to settle. Not like there was

I have MANY new adventures and fun things coming despite this little
set back. EAD Designs is going to be coming out with something BIG.

I just realized I didn't share pictures of the dance costumes I made for my daughters dance company. She dances at Turning Pointe. I LOVE that place and I LOVE Jen who owns it. She's become a good friend to me. The cute little girl at the top is her daughter. She is so stinkin' cute! The 2 girls in the pink are no relation to me, I just wanted to get a picture of the outfits I made. The other pics are of Kelsey of course. I made those too. 25 outfits in all. Quite the job, but I got it done, and it feels so good.

Did I really just make this?! This is my favorite re-design ever I think. I bought these 2 shirts from the womens clearance section at Walmart. It took me about 1 1/2 hours to make it. Kelsey is in HEAVEN with it. Mostly because it's a Miley Cyrus t-shirt, and she feels like a ROCK STAR.

I haven't blogged for so long. Why haven't I blogged?

Well, many reasons. I have 4 very active kids. That's the main reason.

Between school, holidays, sports, movies, sledding (lately), snowman building, and just playing, I find I don't have much spare time.

And I'm really okay with that. It's been so fun being a mom lately.

When I do have spare time I've been reading. Alot of self improvement books. My 2 favorites are "Feelings Buried Alive Never Die" by Karol Truman, and "The Anatomy of Peace" from the Arbringer Institute.

These 2 books have literally helped me find a freedom I never knew existed. They've helped me find peace with everyone, everything, and especially myself.

I HAVE made some fun projects that I will eventually post pictures of. I've drawn a little here and there for Unity Stamp Co., made MANY dance costumes for my daughters dance company, I've taken some fun pictures of my family, and I've had some uplifting things to talk about. I'll get back to blogging more some day. But as for now, I'm enjoying just living. In fact, my New Years Resolution is to just live. Not just get by day to day. I'm really going to live this year, and enjoy every minute I can of it. Being careful not to take on any unneccesary responsibilites.

I would HIGHLY recommend reading the books I mentioned. If you feel like something is missing or you could use some peace of mind, these 2 books would most certainly help.

I hope everyone has a FABULOUS year this year.

He is experiencing the funnest adventure. His wife has an amazing photography blog, and not to mention that she's gorgeous!

November's Here!!

I LOVE November. It means Halloween is OVER. YAY!

I get to listen to Christmas music as much as I darn well please.

I get to decorate my house, and smell the yummy smells of Thanksgiving and Christmas.

It just feels good in November, and this year we get to spend Christmas together in our new house instead of in a hospital room. I'M SO EXCITED!!!

Today is the first which means there's a new Kit of the Month at Unity Stamp Co.

The jar in there is mine. :)

And this is the Scrapbooking Kit of the Month. I drew the "plaid block thingy" and the "It's Love" image. I always really love the scrapbooking kit.

I hope everyone has a HAPPY NOVEMBER!!, and enjoys it as much as I do.

A card and a wallet for Mom

It was my moms birthday a couple weeks ago. We went with the kids to see Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs. It was so cute! Anyway, I made her this card:

It uses the pattern stamp from the Unity Folk Inspired kit found HERE. I did a sponging technique using a versmark pad and SU ink pads.

I sewed the 4 pieces together and left the seams showing, then roughed the seams up using my scissors. I then sewed it onto some warm and natural batting, then sewed that onto the card base.

On the inside of the card I stamped the Love EWE sheep from Unity Stamp Co. with a Staz-On pad, and just cut it out.

I also made her this wallet. I used an old wallet I found for the pattern. I think I really like it. I'm making a few more for some friends.

I used fabric I got from our local city fair(Peach Days). This cute couple that lives here designs their own line of fabric. It's FABULOUS!!! It's called Joel Dewberry. CHECK THEM OUT!!!

It sure feels good to create and blog again. :)

FINALLY!!!

I'm finally getting around to blogging. We've had a busy few weeks. Just to catch you up:

THIS is the skateboard Kaiden got for his birthday.

I found out that trying to be a fun outgoing 30 year old mom doesn't really go well with skateboard tricks. I was doing pretty well, then tried to do an "ollie". It turned more into a "fall-y". I landed on my hip and my REAR-END is still sore.

My pen tablet that I use to draw with broke. Then a few days later my hard drive on my computer crashed. My wonderfullest friend Emily worked on my computer for a few days and found out I have a bad sector. SOOO I ordered a new pen tablet AND a new hard drive for my computer. I lost all my art. But that's okay. It's a fresh start and I'll have new inspiration.

We went camping over the weekend. It was a BLAST!!!! We went with some of our best friends.

While we were camping, my dad fell off the roof of his shed and landed on one of the raised boxes he built for his garden. He broke 4 of his ribs, and bruised his kidneys and liver. OUCH!!!! He shoulda been camping with us. But it's okay, because he's going to heal fast and be back to his bad ol' self again soon.

Emily's goat had babies (or kids), and they are sooooo cute! And here is Casey giving them some love.

In the meantime we're working on our yard still. It's taking so much longer than we intended. We just can't help but take breaks and play with our kids. A yard is no good if you have no relationship with your family. But it's getting there and will be done soon!!

This is a little late today. But it's just been a super busy day. So better late than never.
Kaiden is 11 today. That's weird. It's weird every year when I think about how old he is.
He's so much fun! Sometimes I like to think of him as a mosquito. As much as you swat him away, and try to get him out of your hair, he JUST KEEPS BUZZING AROUND!!! He's really quick and active like a mosquito, and sometimes he just doesn't give up!
But even though he acts like a blood sucking insect, we love him so much.

He's so talented.

He can ride ANYTHING with wheels. He's amazing on a bike. We took his training wheels off of his bike when he was almost 3 years old, and he was jumping the curb the next day. LOL!!! It was quite the site.

He's super smart in school. He can put numbers together so fast it's crazy.

He's a very hard worker. That's if you can get him started. He'll complain like crazy, but then when he finally gets going, he goes all out and gets the job done right.

He's an amazing athlete. He can throw, catch, run, dodge, dive....

He's got a great sense of humor and is truly my friend.

It's my Brithday!!!!

AND I'M 30!!! I thought I'd feel sad that I'm getting older, but I'm not! I feel younger than ever today. I feel happier than ever too. I've learned so much about life and myself.

What have I learned in 30 years?

*Life is easy, it's as easy as you make it. And I'm learning how to control that and make my own life enjoyable and fun.

*Having kids can be hard sometimes. But SO WORTH EVERY EFFORT you put into raising them.

*Marriage is fabulous and fun if you let it be. When you let your spouse just be who they are and have no expectations that they be anything other than that, you find a freedom and love that you just can't deny. It's wonderful, and my marriage is more than wonderful.

*God is good, and in every one of us.

*Good friends are those that you don't have to work for. Meaning whatever you do or say won't matter, they love you anyway. And when I realized that, it made it easier to BE a friend.

*Family is EVERYTHING. They are every part of who I am, and are just s big a part of me and I am myself.

*Every struggle I've ever had with ANYONE has been a blessing in disguise. Everyone sent to me in my lifetime is an angel sent to help me or teach me a valuable lesson. And I'm still growing and getting more lessons and blessings everyday.

*LIVE IN THE MOMENT. THIS MOMENT IS THE ONLY MOMENT THAT REALLY EXISTS. Tomorrow doesn't exist yet, and yesterday is gone and no longer matters. So why not enjoy what you have right here in front of you right NOW!

I'm finally getting these pictures on here! Sorry it took so long, I've been running around all over the place with my kids. After this week, I'll be so much more relaxed!! Soccer AND dance will be over. YAY! no more crazy schedule. LOL! Ya right!

These are a couple containers I made for my mom and my MIL for Mother's Day. They both love to play cards with the kids, so I made them each a container to hold their packs of cards in. We got them some crazy 8's, and Go Fish, and a bunch of other fun games to put in there.

We've had a fun busy day today. And I wanted to share a few picture with you. We worked in the yard a bit. Casey got to ride in the bobcat with Chad and he LOVED it! Then we had to go dump the dirt out of the dump trailer so we went down to this field where.......There was a "DONKEY ON THE EDGE"- donkey from shrek ..... really just a donkey, a BIG, friendly donkey.

Then, since I had my camera taking pictures of Donkey, I had Carter take some pictures of me and Casey. We even found an old tub/water trough to sit in.

And this is just a sweet picture of my wonderful little puppy. His name is Grey, by the way. I changed it. It just fits better.

It's HIP HOP Thursday! and Unity has a great new place to hang out. It's called myunityplace.com. I have a fun little group there called "Beyond the Challenge". Go and check it out! It's going to be a fun place to hang out with all your Unity friends. I made this headband as a first for the group. It's really quite simple to do. I used the butterfly stamp from the Unity April Kit Of The Month. I'll explain how to make it soon.

Okay, so I thought I'd share a couple things with you.
This is a lamp I've been thinking about doing for a while. LOL! I usually do that with everything. It takes me a while to actually COMPLETE the projects I start. I used burlap to cover this shade I got from IKEA. I think it was only $3. I stamped on it using my Unity Stamps; Feel the joy, and Linden Branch. I added some stickles to the red flowers to add some dimension. It was pretty fast and easy. I'm not sure why it took me so long to finally do it. I just used Fabri-tac to glue the burlap to the lamp shade. I really like the way it turned out. It really matches the style in my home.

And second...... we have a winner!!! WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER!! I SKIPPED MINE, AND NOW I'M THINNER!! LOL!!! yes, I am occasionally a dork out loud.

I have been looking around and deciding what kind of puppy I want to get. I want to be sure to get a dog that won't give Carter allergies, is smart, and I can train well. I found it. I found the dog I'm in love with. Do you remember the dog on Fraggle Rock? For some reason that's what I think of when I see these dogs. I WILL HAVE THIS DOG!!!! I just have to put that out there. I can already imagine how much I'll love this new little puppy girl. Hmm, what will I name her?

I was just talking with Tanis the other day, and we were discussing how we have no idea how we both have so many FOLLOWERS! Seriously, how did that happen so fast?

Well, I appreciate everyone's sweet comments all the time. Sometimes I don't have many projects to share, and have alot of chitter chatter. But you still come and visit. I love it. Not so much the recognition (well, I'm trying to get over needing recognition), but more for the support and friendships. I've made some very great friends through blogging. One of them is Tanis. She's one of my most treasured friends now.

SO, that being said, you may want to watch for some "thank you" blog candy. Hmmm.... maybe it'll be a super good blog candy that's from me and "a great friend of mine":). I don't know......... you might want to keep checking back. Maybe real soon, like within a week!

Kaiden's at his dad's this weekend, and they decided to take him ROCK CLIMBING! Yes, it scares me, but I know he's safe. They have all the safety gear and make sure it's safe, so I say GO FOR IT! So Angie, his step-mom called me and says "check your email!" And there was this cool picture of Kaiden. She called him a spider monkey. And he is definitely a spider monkey. He has talent coming out every pore. Yes, I sound like a conceited mother, but this kid just blows me away. This was his first time! GO KAIDEN!

This is the card I made this week. It also qualifies for the Stamp-It Week over at the Paper Crafts Connection Blog. I used Unity stamps, and did a few different techniques.
I did some background stamping and sponging. I really like how this turned out.

If you have a minute, stop and listen to the song on my blog. My friend Eileen's funeral was today, and it was a beautiful tribute to her. Her daughter, Whitney, sang this song. Beautifully and without flaw. The most gorgeous I've ever heard a song sang. Eileen sure did change me for the good. She left a mark on my heart I will never forget.

I am the luckiest person alive. Well, at least I feel that way.
*I'm so lucky to have such beautiful wonderful kids, and hubby.

*I'm lucky to be healthy, and have a healthy family. I'm lucky to have Chad here and HEALTHY.

*I'm lucky to be able to stay home with my kids.

*I'm lucky to live in such a wonderful neighborhood, where my kids have friends to play with.

*I'm lucky to have such wonderful friends.

*I'm lucky to have wonderful parents. My parents are some of my best friends.

*I'm just lucky.

REALLY, I don't believe in luck. Rather, I'm grateful for all the things I have. But IT IS St. Patricks day, so I had to tie it in somehow.

Just look at how lucky I am. Look at this cute little fart. He fell asleep on the stair. I was cleaning the kitchen, and he just loves to be with me so much that he found the closest place to lie down and drink his bottle (YES, he is indeed too old to have a bottle, shame, shame). Happy St. Patricks Day!

As I was doing my card this last week. I realized that it made me think of my friend. I don't know if you remember me talking about her. She had pancreatic cancer and has fought it for quite some time now. Well, on Thursday night she passed. She finally gets to be free of all that pain. The family is amazing. They are handling it so well. They have such a great outlook on life and always have. Which is the reason this card reminded me of her. She always enjoyed her journey through this life. No matter what was thrown at her, even the cancer that finally took her life, she always looked at the positive. What a wonderful woman to be friends with. I sure will miss her. She will always be a reminder to me to enjoy my journey no matter what.

No, I didn't forget, I was just busy today. It was Carter's birthday today, and he stayed home from school sick. Not playing hooky, he really was sick. But no worries, he just played playstation all day. That's an ideal stay at home from school cuz it's your birthday Carter kind of day.

Why do I love this kid? Oh my, there's too many reasons. I can feel a tear already and I haven't even started.

*He's KIND. He has a heart of gold and doesn't hold back. When he feels bad for someone, he's the first person to try to make them feel better.

*He will melt your heart. My mom loves seeing Carter, because he's the only kid that makes sure to give her a hug first thing when he sees her. Just because he loves her, not because he has to.

*He loves to snuggle. Even still at 8 years old. He will snuggle me in my bed all night long if I let him. There's no turning over to get comfy, or give some space. It's a full on legs and arms wrapped around you, breathing HOT air onto your neck, cramped arms, sore back kind of snuggle. He just LOVES too much.

*He dopey. As much as it drives me crazy, I still have to love it. Because it's me. LOL!!! I was just as dopey when I was a kid. Who am I kidding, I'm still dopey. He just needs a goat. (INSIDE JOKE)

*He loves animals. Just like me. He's a sucker for anything that might be cold or hungry or lonely. He wants to take every single animal in and adopt it. In fact, he has brought home 3 ROBINS!!! that were injured, and we tried to keep them and give them life back. 1 of them we succeeded. Until we went on a vacation and tragedy struck with the bird. (But we won't bring that up mom.) HAHA!!!!!

*He can get along and play by himself all day long without a complaint. He doesn't need a friend to stay happy. He can entertain himself with just about anything. Give him a stick and show him a wasp nest, and he'll be fine all day. Even if he gets stung 10 times. Another fact about Carter, he eats bee larvae. Ya, gross! He likes the reaction he gets from it. Everyone is dry heaving and gagging, and he's just munchin away. He found a nest at my moms once, and Kaiden dared him to eat the larvae inside. Well, you didn't have to pull his leg to hard, he was chompin away before Kaiden could say go. HAHA!! He's such a boy!!!!

I just love everything about him. Even his long, extremely full, blonde head of hair. He just so handsome. Happy Birthday Carter, I love you.

Etsy Inspired Blog HOP

It's the Etsy Inspired blog hop today!

What is Etsy Inspired? It's a great weekly inspiration challenge put on to showcase the amazing talent that Etsy artists have. We get to make something inspired by a different Etsy Shop each week. There's always a great prize to be won, and some really great things to be inspired by. Each Saturday morning a new shop is posted, along with some samples done by the design team. All you have to do, is take a look around the Etsy shop, find something that inspires you, and CREATE! It's fun and very rewarding.

ASHLEY, the our main girl!, has decided that we should have a blog hop to encourage more participation. She got SOOO many different companies to donate a prize to different people for participating. If you're just getting started, be sure you start at the beginning at Tiff's blog.

So here's the challenge, it's quite simple. Make a card using only plain paper or cardstock. NO PATTERNED OR DESIGNER PAPER! You can add any embelishment, color, stamp, etc. you want. Pretty simple. Make your card, post it on your blog with a link to my blog, then leave me a link to your card by Tuesday, March 3rd at midnight. I'll pick a winner and post it the next day. If you upload your picture to SCS or PCP be sure to use the keyword EICLIN.

Yay! I finally have a card for Hip Hop Thursday. I loved making this card. I felt this little bit of creative release today. Something I haven't had for a while. It's been all cooped up and SMOTHERED.

It's HIP HOP today on the Unity Stamp Co. blog. The theme for the day is JOY. What brings you joy? My kids (although they bring me a massive headache on some days) bring me so much joy. I love them to pieces. The sunshine brings me MUCH joy too. I love spring when the sun starts to shine and flowers are peeking up. I love ROBINS. I love to hear the robins chatting away. We once had a baby robin that we raised. It would follow me in the garden and just hop around behind me. He was so cute. His name was freckle. Then we went on a family trip, and well.... that's NOT joy. HAHA! But he DID bring me joy when he was alive! I have a picture of him sitting on my shoulder. I'll have to find that!

Back to HIP HOP!!

I went to the kid's school today for a little football game they were having. Kaidens intramural team won their championship again this year! Yay! I love football. It's so fun to watch. Anyway, I took Casey with and he loved it. He got to see his brothers playing, and ALL THOSE KIDS! I HAVE to share this picture I took. It's Carter holding Casey. Check out those worn out boots! Isn't that the greatest picture? They have such a cute relationship. They love each other soooo much.

It's Casey's birthday today. My little baby boy is 2!! Boo hoo~~ I want him to be my baby forever. I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm totally obsessed with this kid. I'm head over heals in love with him. He's been a comfort to me through the last 2 years for so many reasons. He's helped me through a lot of different hard times. Just looking at him makes me filled with love. He's sweet, smart, hillarious!, snuggly, a stinker, and ALL MINE.

He loves his "go's". He has a car with him all the time. He says the word "GO" at least 50 times a day. When we're sitting at the stop light, he'll look around, realize we're sitting still and yell "GO!" He loves to GO! So for his birthday, he got a little cozy coupe Go of his own. He loves it already.

I love you to pieces Casey. I think the theme of this next year at age 2 just might be: "READY... SET.... GO!"

I haven't posted something for a while again. I know it's only February, but I have a couple Christmas things I can post today. Just to post something! It's a gift bag, and a gift card holder. I got my Unity Kit of the Month yesterday and HAD to use at least one of the stamps. I used the label/frame stamp for the opening for the gift card. My pictures are not so great. I need some good lighting in my craft room still.

Oh! the blog candy????? Keep your eyes opened!!! It's coming..........

Seriously, this is so cool. I have a room dedicated to creating. What a dream come true for me. I LOVE IT!!! I'm the luckiest girl EVER!!! Thanks to Chad for being the hardest worker and great hubby ever. I love that man.

Okay, so now I have some pictures to share. A couple of the room when I started, and then .....

Now...... if you think you have a ribbon addiction, I just may share your problem. HAHA! THAT'S alot of ribbon!!! Okay, it's not really an addiction. I make hair bows and this is my inventory. But I still really really love it for EVERYTHING! All the ribbon on the bookcase is MAY ARTS ribbon ONLY! I love that stuff. The containers next to the bookcase are completely full of ribbon too. YIKES!

One more thing to post.

We seem to have these 2 cute little cats that love us already. They're 2 little black cats that come around at night and hang out by the door. One of them is scared and doesn't come too close when we go out. But the other one lets us pick him up and pet him. They come up to the windows bu the front door and rub their cute little faces on the glass. It's so cute. They want to be loved so much. So we can't resist and we go out and play with them. Casey FREAKS OUT! He loves it. I think I'll put a little basket with a blanket out there for them. Because I'm a crazy cat lady (as Chad would say).
