My bestest ever friend!

I only have 1 friend from High School that I am still friends with and do things with. Well, we really don't get to get together very often. But when we do it feels like we haven't spent a day apart. She will always be my "soul mate" friend. We have some great stories that we still laugh about to this day. (like the tumbleweed and the air shooters in Resha's car, Sally.) I know there are only 2 people who know what I'm talking about, but that's the point I guess. There are a few other things that we laugh about that I really can't mention. Ha ha! Sperry, you'll always be my bestest ever friend. I love your guts! It was fun having a play date with you and your cool kids. And yes everyone, I have a way bigger head than Andrea. I have a large head, there, now you all know. It doesn't help that she's 10 feet behind me.

Happy Birthday Kaiden!

Today Kaiden is 10 years old. Wow! That doesn't seem real. I have a ten year old. What?
We got him a Fuzion for his birthday. He loves anything with wheels. He can master anything you give him. He is definitely my over achiever.

5*He is very good at helping me clean and organize
6*His teachers at school tell me that even though they have to constantly tell him to quit talking in class, he is still their favorite. (He's a charmer)

8*He likes to be active.. He's not an indoor playstation kind of kid
9*He loves to eat fruits and veggies for snacks, and his favorite drink is water(at the same time, he complains that I always make him eat healthy "brown" bread)

QKD Background Stamps

Queen Kat Designs is coming out with some new background stamps in June. I thought I would give you a sneak peak of one of them. I really liked making this card without sayings or pictures. It could be used for anything. It could also be used for either a feminine or masculine card. I really like this new stamp.

Little Birds

I got my new stamps today from Emma's Paperie. It came so fast, and the packaging was so nice. I didn't make anything yet, but I did play with a couple of the stamps a little. Here's one of them.

Just a Thursday.

I don't have anything too interesting to talk about today. But I still feel like blogging. So here are a few pictures of my house. It's getting framed right now. It's so exciting to see walls. And the view behind my house, isn't it great?

Happy Birthday to Me! Woohoo!

Okay, normaly I wouldn't tell everyone it's my birthday. Ha Ha, who am I kidding? Yes I would! So, today is my birthday, and I'm 29 years old. Wow, that's weird. My first born will be 10 years old in 5 days. That's even more crazy. I have had a wonderful life. I haven't had to go through hardship and trial like a lot of people. My kids are all healthy and beatiful. My husband loves me and accepts me for who I am. I have wonderful friends who would do anything for me. And parents ( both mine and my in-laws) who are great grandparents and parents. I am pretty lucky and blessed. I have had a great 29 years of life.

I woke up this morning to all my kids and hubby standing by the bed with my cards and a gift. I think the kids were more excited for me to open my present than I was. In the box was a laptop cover. Which means I got a new Laptop for my birthday!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't beleive it. I'm so excited. I didn't actually get the laptop yet. It's being shipped and didn't make here on time. But I'm posting a picture of it. It's so cute!!!!

Card Challenge

It's my friend Tanis's "Blogoversary". She's giving away a RAK and part of the deal is to make a card using a card she has made on her blog as inspiration. A couple weeks ago she made a card with the edges of the paper rolled and ribbon tied around it. I've been wanting to make something using this technique. So why not do it for a challenge by her. Progress on my house.

I haven't been keeping up on posting pictures of the progress of our house. We have our floor done and the lumber is there now. These pictures are of the day that they poured the concrete. Casey loved it. He's going to be just like his Dad.




Okay, one more thing. I love the laundromat. It's so peaceful. I don't even have to go to it, but I like to when I feel like I'm too behind on laundry. It's just that the only thing you can do there is laundry. No multi tasking, no trying to keep up on changing the loads. You just do it all at one time and that's all you do. I may sound strange, but you should try it sometime. Plus, it's fun to play in the dryers. hehe

I Scrapbooked!

I finally did a layout for me. I haven't made a page for myself forever. I love it! Casey really loves the skateboard. He's pretty good at staying on it too. The only thing is that I really don't like the way my scanner makes my pictures look. I wish my good camera still worked. :(

Stampin' Through Thursday

Over at Creativity Unbound, it's my day to post a creation. My day is always going to be Thursday and it's called Stampin' through Thursday. So go on over and check out what I've done. QKD Challenge #5

For my turn on the QKD Design Team Challenge, I decided to challenge everyone to use an actual picture on a card. I'm a day late on my own challenge, but it's finally done. I used a picture of my kids to make a Father's Day card. The picture didn't print out as good as I wanted, but it still worked okay. Now I have my Father's Day card done. One less thing to procrastinate on.

Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day everyone. I love being a mother, it's the most wonderful gift I've been given. God is so good to give us this blessing. Not just the chance and blessing to be a mother, but the unexplainable feelings of love and joy that come with it. I am truly blessed to be a mother.

Butterfly card

I haven't been a very good blogger. So here is a card I did with my favorite butterfly stamp. It's from Stampendous. I used some glitter on it and on the brad to make it a little more whimsical. Whimsical is word that best describes me, I think. And I just love, love, love butterflies.

Mom's day card

I thought I better post something. I made a couple quick mothers day cards last night. I love the little mouse. Isn't she cute?

I just can't leave it alone. So if you don't like change, you might not like my blog. But I'm addicted to change. I doodled last night and thought it would be fun to use it.
