Tanis CHALLENGED us to make a card using red, yellow, and blue. I struggled to make something with this. But I finally came up with this card.

Altered Mirror

I haven't had much time to create this last week because I've been working on my house. But I did manage to finish the mirror I got from the thrift store. This mirror was only $3. Here is the ugly before picture, with a not so ugly cutie in it.

I used my Beautiful Life Unity stamps on it. In the top I put some sheet metal to make a little magnetic board for a picture or some art. I think it will be so cute in her new bedroom. Her bedroom is going to be soft yellow, pink, and black. Won't this be darling against a soft yellow wall? I also made a matching door hanger to go with it.

Here are a couple updated pictures of our house. The siding is FINALLY done, and I only have the front of the office to grout the rock. We're going to do the driveway probably next week. YAY! It finally feels like we're getting closer.

I got something fun from the thrift store.

My mom is a model!!!

Well for a minute. Boy mom, you should feel famous lately, being on my blog all the time. My mom modeled these new products called Loves and Hugs from Jillie Willie.



It was on Good Things Utah today. You have to go and check these things out. They are fabulous!!! Jill is the sweetest person ever. She's one of my sweet friends that makes me feel warm and loved.

Update for the family

I found this song by Josh Ritter called Good Man. Kaiden (10) is ALWAYS saying " hey, I'm a good man." Usually when he's about to get in trouble. My dad will get a kick out of that. I can hear him laughing.


If you thought my mom's Halloween costume was funny ( a few posts back ) check out this one. She dressed as a pregnant redneck hillbilly for a party, but for Halloween night she dressed as a pregnant witch. Like the witch Bett Middler played on Hocus Pocus. Check out her TEETH!! ha! That is one sexy witch!! ahhh..... My parents are fun!

Etsy Inspired #8

It made me think of how girlie my own daughter can be. I'm not sure what my train of thought is when I'm inspired by these Etsy Inspired challenges, but this is what it lead me to.





I love the layered flat bow clips, and wanted to use it on something. I thought a frame would work best, plus then I got to add some bling and use my daughter's picture
to add even more girlie glam to it.
