I had so much fun making this card. You wouldn't believe it, but I made it with this stamp set ONLY. It's from Pink Persimmon. I got some in the mail today and couldn't wait to play with this set. I love it!!!!!!!!!!

2 Sketches 4 You

Here are a couple cards for the 2 Sketches 4 You sketch. The one with the tree was completely different in my head. I don't really like how it turned out. But if you put forth the effort you might as well show it, right? I like the other one because I have a real love for those buttons with one hole.

Just a cute picture.

I get my new camera this week. It's a Canon Rebel XTi. I can't wait!!!!!!!!! I'm sure I'll be posting tons of pictures.

Caardvarks

I made a card for Kazan's sketch and 1 more for Laura's sketch on Caardvarks. I hope you like them.

I didn't make the DT on 2 Sketches 4 You. But if you look at who made it, you'll see why. The cards they made are amazing. One of them was even crocheted around the edges. Wow!!! There is some seriously amazing talent on there. I'll just try next time, and see if I've upped my game enough.

Memories...You do it too!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you.

(And please be mindful that others read my blog! hehe) ((Sperry!!!))

Caardvarks Challenge

Kazan and Laura of 2 Sketches 4 You are the designers of the sketch challenge at Caardvarks. It's kind of a double challenge. The two of them each drew a sketch. The winner will be the guest designer on August 20th at Caardvarks. I've done one of my cards. It's from the sketch that Laura drew. I used Basic Grey paper, some of my endless stash of ribbon, a rubbon from Cosmo Cricket, and some glitter glue. I'll be posting the other card later this week or next week.

Creativity Unbound and CPS#74

I have this card posted at Creativity Unbound with a small bit about stamping on Canvas. Check it out HERE. Also, I used the sketch at CPS to make this. It's sketch #74. I used my new Martha Stewart Lace Border Punch. I love that thing. I think I'll make another card for the sketch. So check back tomorrow.

I applied for the Design Team on 2 Sketches 4 You. We find out who made it this weekend. So wish me luck! There's so much great talent that I'm up against. But if I don't make it, I'll still be stalking there blog and making too many cards.

2 Sketches 4 You

Okay, you all know I'm totally addicted to 2 Sketches 4 You. So I don't need to say anymore about how I have one more card, because I think I do this almost every week. I really like this card a lot better than the other one I did for this sketch. I realized that my first card didn't really look like the sketch all that much. I stayed up soooo late last night doing some printing for my hubby. He draws house plans, and his plotter (BIG printer) has to be manually fed the paper. Anyway, I made this card for the sketch. I used this recycled pad of 4x6 paper from K&Company that I got from Walmart. To make the little square piece of tinseled paper, I rubbed the whole thing with my versamark, covered it in embossing tinsel and then used the bottom of my SU marker lid to make circles. For the funky flower, I just cut strips of paper and glued them together. I put little silver jump rings and jewels on the ends of the strips. Then I added one of my favorite things to the center. (WE R MEMORY KEEPERS snaps).

CASEY AT THE BAT
When we named our son Casey, we both thought of that name as an old fashioned all American baseball kid name. Probably becuase of the poem Casey At The Bat. In which Casey actually strikes out! But I think that my Casey is going to be an amazing ball player and hopefully have very few strike outs! Judging from his love and determination of the game already(at 17 months old), I think I might be right.

One more for the sketch on Melissa Phillips!

Here's one more card for the sketch on Melissa Phillips blog!(LilyBean's Paperie). I'm only 23 minutes late, I hope it's okay!! It's kind of a silly card. I hope it's obvious what it is.

It's Monday!

It's Monday, so that means a card for 2 Sketches 4 You. I knew right away what I wanted to do with the sketch this week. I've had these little tool charms forever, and love how they turned out with this card. The patterned paper is the Cosmo Cricket Twist and Shout collection. I tried a little trick with the Dad title. On the patterned paper that has circles, I used my stylus tool to trace around the circles. I just put the paper on my mouse pad, and made sure not to press too hard with the stylus tool so I wouldn't rip through the paper. I turned it over and rubbed my old fluid chalk pad lightly across the top. It made the circles I embossed stand out. It turned out quite well.

I decided to post a picture of my cute hubby and sweet baby Casey.
One more thing. I designed my sisters blog for one of her dance competitions. Check it out HERE. Tell me what you think of it.
