This is a friend of mine from school. I haven't seen him in YEARS.

I connected with him through facebook. (of course)

He is experiencing the funnest adventure. His wife has an amazing photography blog, and not to mention that she's gorgeous!

November's Here!!

I LOVE November. It means Halloween is OVER. YAY!

I get to listen to Christmas music as much as I darn well please.

I get to decorate my house, and smell the yummy smells of Thanksgiving and Christmas.

It just feels good in November, and this year we get to spend Christmas together in our new house instead of in a hospital room. I'M SO EXCITED!!!

Today is the first which means there's a new Kit of the Month at Unity Stamp Co.

The jar in there is mine. :)

And this is the Scrapbooking Kit of the Month. I drew the "plaid block thingy" and the "It's Love" image. I always really love the scrapbooking kit.

I hope everyone has a HAPPY NOVEMBER!!, and enjoys it as much as I do.

This is my new obsession. I'm making sock monkeys to sell for Christmas gifts or whatever you'd like. I'll have more info in a few weeks. :)

A card and a wallet for Mom

It was my moms birthday a couple weeks ago. We went with the kids to see Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs. It was so cute! Anyway, I made her this card:

It uses the pattern stamp from the Unity Folk Inspired kit found HERE. I did a sponging technique using a versmark pad and SU ink pads.

I sewed the 4 pieces together and left the seams showing, then roughed the seams up using my scissors. I then sewed it onto some warm and natural batting, then sewed that onto the card base.

On the inside of the card I stamped the Love EWE sheep from Unity Stamp Co. with a Staz-On pad, and just cut it out.

I also made her this wallet. I used an old wallet I found for the pattern. I think I really like it. I'm making a few more for some friends.

I used fabric I got from our local city fair(Peach Days). This cute couple that lives here designs their own line of fabric. It's FABULOUS!!! It's called Joel Dewberry. CHECK THEM OUT!!!

It sure feels good to create and blog again. :)
