Quick update

Chad gets to come home tomorrow. I don't know what time yet though. He wants to be home to watch the superbowl. He actually got up and went for a walk tonight. We went to the hospital to see him. He was sitting in the chair, so he's feeling much better. I was so tired that I laid down on his bed and fell asleep. Here he is sick and I fell asleep in his bed for probably almost an hour! I even had the 2 littlest kids with me. But they just watched the TV. I had to have a cat-nap, I fell asleep on the way to the hospital while I was driving. I have NEVER done that in my whole life!! So I'm going to bed, and not waking up early. I need to catch up.

Then it's HI HO HI HO, off to work I go. Then I'll go pick up Chad whenever he's ready to come home. I miss him. It's not normal going to bed without him.

I have pictures of our house, but I'm too tired to post them. Maybe tomorrow.
My friends hubby did our mantel AND rocked the fireplace. He is the most talented man I have ever seen. Wait until you see it. He grouted the rock so amazing. He brought every single line to a point, so it kind of outlines each rock. I can't really explain, I'll have to just show you pictures. It's exceptional.

Good night all, have a fabulous relaxing Sunday.

On the mend ( this time for reals)

Can I just tell you I'm totally SHOCKED! Chad has drained out more than a litre of fluid/infection from his lung. We thought he was getting better! Apparently NOT! But NOW... he really is. On the last x-ray ( over 3 hours ago ) his lung had drained about 60% of the infection ALREADY! This is great news. He's going to get better FAST!!!

The tube goes through his chest, between 2 ribs, and through his lung. OUCH! He said it hurts real bad. He took a Lortab for the pain... his first time taking Lortab. LOL!!!!! It's kickin' his butt. LOL! He's all like lovey to the kids on the phone ( he loves them all the time, but his way of talking is so sweet and tender ), and he just keeps looking at me with this cute little grin. LOL!!! NOW HE KNOWS!! Now he knows why all these crazy moms like the feeling of them. LOL!!!

Okay, back to the facts here. The doctor is very happy with the results. Looks like his stay should be very short. And this time he'll STAY better. Just in time to move into our house.

We only have a few things left on our house, and we're done. My friends amazingly talented husband made our mantel and rocked the fireplace for me. I WAS going to do the rock, but my "old man" keeps getting sick. So it's a good thing we have great support and friends to help us out.

Well, back to pampering and lovin' on my hubby. He's so cute, I just love this man.

HI HO HI HO Back to Ogden we go.

This isn't exactly something to be singing about. But I need to keep our spirits high. Chad had a fever this morning so I took him to the doctor. His x-ray didn't look good, so they sent him for a CT scan. Well, he has an abscess in his lung now that needs to be drained. He has to go back to Ogden Regional Hospital and have surgery to get a tube put into his lungs so the infection can drain. The doctor here said he'll probably be there in the ICU for a week. *SIGH* So here we go again. This is NOT life threatening, but very serious. So prayers are soooo welcome and appreciated. We need some "upliftment" here. Chad needs prayers for strength and comfort. I appreciate everyone who cares and reads my blog, and prays for me and my family. I KNOW that each prayer and thought are so helpful. They really got me through last month. I'll keep you posted.

Photo tagged!

I was photo tagged by Laura, one of my sweetest friends on the web. She was tagged, and the photo she used is hilarious. It's totally cat-X rated. You'll have to go see for yourself, you'll see what I mean. What you do is go to the 6th folder in your pictures file, and post the 6th picture. Mine was this cute picture of Casey's hand. I was taking pictures of his cute little body while he was sleeping. It was in May sometime, so he was probably about 15 months old.
I should tag 6 people now, but I have to go to work on my house. I'm being rushed. I'll tag some friends later.

Then I came across this video in the same folder. I had cut my boys hair really short for the summer, actually it's just buzzed right off. I get tired of hair cuts, so I wanted to just take care of the whole summer at once. They look silly, and Carter's head is much too big to have it buzzed. HAHA! My dad will appreciate that I posted this. He'll be laughing so hard, his asthma will go all crazy, and he'll start coughing. He's laughing just reading that! Enjoy dad, this is for you.

I can't express

the joy and love I felt at my kids parents teacher conferences. They are all doing so well. Kelsey's teacher said she wishes every little girl was just like her. Kaiden's teacher said he's the fastest and one of the smartest kids in her class. Carter's teacher just made me cry. She loves him so much. All my kid's teachers are wonderful. All of them know about what we've been going through. They were all very concerned and said how well the kids are doing regardless of the stress they're going through. Carter's teacher, Mrs. Potter ( many many people will tell you she's the best teacher EVER!) was very sweet. She wanted to know everything that was going on, and wondered if there was anything she could do to help. She showed me a few of Carters grades and things, then she got tears in her eyes and pulled out this paper. It's Carter's new years resolution.
It says(in his writing):
1. I will help peaple that are por.
2. I will help peaple that are hert.
3. I will keep peaple safe.

THAT'S IT! Those are his only resolutions. Does that just melt your heart?
I feel so honored to be his mother. How was I so lucky?

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

Unity Addicts Wednesday Challenge

Can you believe it? I made another card! I stayed up late last night and made a simple card for the Unity Addicts Challenge. It's really simple and quick, but I think it turned out cute enough to post. The challenge was to make a card and finish the inside. That's it! pretty simple.

Stamps:
Frame from Unity's December Kit of the Month
Love from a set that's retired I believe, and I can't remember the name of it! Could someone help me remember?

I'M DONE PAINTING!!

This is one of the happiest days ever! Not really, but it does feel good to be done. I still need to go in and do touch ups, but that's cake! So here are a few pics of what's been going on with my house. My cabinets are almost done too.

This is my little girls room.

This is my son's room. It's going to be a Raiders room!
This is my other boys room.

This is my crazy purple craft room. LOVE IT!!

Most of the house is the brown and cream colors that are in the kitchen. I love the colors I chose. All crazy and all me. Hopefully my next post will be something crafty.

Can you believe it? I made card. I've been super busy keeping up with everything that's been going on. I've been painting, A LOT!, and trying to get medical things all figured out. Plus, take care of Chad and the kids. Very busy. But I did decide to give myself some therapy by making a card. I FINALLY got to use the Floral Frenzy stamp that I created for Unity. I love it because it's so fun to paper piece it, and paper piecing seems to be my favorite. I hope I can catch up to my life of crafting soon. OH YA! I have a little news to TOOT about! I got my first publication with CARDMAKER magazine today. WOOHOO!!

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Really, I have reason to celebrate this happy happy new year. A new chance at a wonderful life with my family. I love these crazy people.

Here's a picture of us at the hospital on Christmas Eve. I'm really ragged looking, just don't look too close. Chad's still a little in la-la land. He said he doesn't remember much of the kids opening presents. He just remembers me picking up the wrapping paper. LOL!! Nice memory huh! I think we'll do an extra special Valentines day for the all of us. After all, we are all here to LOVE each other. One more time: THANK YOU! THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT. ESPECIALLY my very special BFF TANIS. I LOVE YOU GIRL, your prayers are powerful. You really have no idea how powerful they were. As Chad and I talked about it, it hit us just how much you helped us. Chad and I have cried TOGETHER several times just talking about it. EVERYONE was so helpful to us and so supportive. I have made the best freinds online. I love you all.

Have a FABULOUS new year! I can't wait to start creating again and chatting with my friends. I will have so many stories to tell of all the people that are volunteering to help us get our house done, and help our family. We already have dinners lined up for over a week from the generous people from our church. We are overflowing with love and gratitude.

Here is a picture of the night we came home. The kids didn't want to leave their dad's side. They missed him so bad. Chad was so happy, he couldn't quit grinning.
