On the mend ( this time for reals)

Can I just tell you I'm totally SHOCKED! Chad has drained out more than a litre of fluid/infection from his lung. We thought he was getting better! Apparently NOT! But NOW... he really is. On the last x-ray ( over 3 hours ago ) his lung had drained about 60% of the infection ALREADY! This is great news. He's going to get better FAST!!!

The tube goes through his chest, between 2 ribs, and through his lung. OUCH! He said it hurts real bad. He took a Lortab for the pain... his first time taking Lortab. LOL!!!!! It's kickin' his butt. LOL! He's all like lovey to the kids on the phone ( he loves them all the time, but his way of talking is so sweet and tender ), and he just keeps looking at me with this cute little grin. LOL!!! NOW HE KNOWS!! Now he knows why all these crazy moms like the feeling of them. LOL!!!

Okay, back to the facts here. The doctor is very happy with the results. Looks like his stay should be very short. And this time he'll STAY better. Just in time to move into our house.

We only have a few things left on our house, and we're done. My friends amazingly talented husband made our mantel and rocked the fireplace for me. I WAS going to do the rock, but my "old man" keeps getting sick. So it's a good thing we have great support and friends to help us out.

Well, back to pampering and lovin' on my hubby. He's so cute, I just love this man.

Oh, Lindsay, I am so happy he is doing better. I have been gone for a while and just now checking your blog and found out Chad has taken ill again. Poor guy, but so glad he is doing better and yes, he needs to keep staying better this time. No more sickness for him! And it is so wonderful you guys have such wonderful friends to help you with the house. I hope you get to move in quickly, and that Chad stays healthy to enjoy the new home! And wow, never heard of Lortab, but sounds pretty awesome...hehehehe

That's great news. I'm sure he will love packing up and moving. Especially jacked up on drugs. Ya, Lortab is a personal favorite of mine. I wish I was in the stage of the home building that you are in. I hate waiting for the plans to be done so we can get an appraisal so that we can get out loan so that we can finally dig a hole. Pain in the butt! We are building out in Perry on the East side. It's just barely out of Brigham. Can't wait to get things really going. Anyway...glad he's feeling better and enjoying the effects of Lortab!

Good news!! I'll keep praying, though! You should video tape Chad while he's all drugged up for funniest home videos! ;) {{Hugs}} Lindsay!

We are so glad he is doing better! That doesn't sound too fun though having a tube stuck into your lung through your chest. Rich said one of his mission companions had to do that and that it is pretty painful so Yay for pain killers!!! Glad to hear the good news!

Hi Lindsey and Chad, I have been blog hopping tonight and just came across yours. I am so sorry that you have had so much sickness in your family. It is obvious that you are a strong woman, a strong couple, and a strong family. Any woman that goes around photographing her children's cute body parts while they are asleep is A-O.K. in my book!! Your family is adorable. I have favorited your site, and will keep your move and continued healthy recovery at the top of my concerns. Take care, Hugs, Linda in NE
